I’m planning for the next series of messages to focus on Ephesians and the concept of one’s identity in Christ. Paul uses the phrase “in Christ” or “in Him” and the like a great number of times in the Ephesians letter.
I found that Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill in Seattle has recently begun a study through Ephesians with the same topic. He calls his series, “Who Do You Think You Are.” Fortunately, he allows others to freely use his resources, so that may help with finding a few videos to go along with my next series.
My initial thoughts for one’s identity in Christ is the topic of “security”–knowing for sure that you are His; “spiritual warfare”–overcoming doubts and accusations from the Enemy; and “identity crisis”–when a believer acts like the world.
Please feel free to add your own thoughts to this series.
