Communion Service

On tomorrow, Sunday, August 27, we will take holy communion together as well as end the Eclipse series.

Just as the eclipse last week caused us to look beyond the earthly, communion elements take our attention beyond the bread and cup to the Lord.  The sermon will take us back to the Psalms and the book of Job to help us to reflect on the awesome Creator who is due all of our worship.

Hanging Rock history program

Outdoor Symphony in Monroe on Mother’s Day, 7pm

Our own Gordon Hann will be playing with the Union Symphony in Downtown Monroe Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017.

This is an outdoor event, free and open to the public. Bring folding chairs, and/or a blanket to enjoy “Pops on the Plaza.”

The Youth Orchestra will be at 6:30 and the Union Symphony will begin at 7:00.

Random Acts of Christian Kindness (RACK)

Sunday April 26th is RACK Sunday.  This is a wonderful opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others in a very practical way.  On this Sunday each person is encouraged to take an envelope already loaded with $20 cash and instructed to eventually give this away to a person in need.
